More questions!!
Do you need a photo for the lift pass?
I want to get some private snowboard lessons for 2 days - do you recommend the local ski school or is there a private school like those that are cropping up in many resorts these days?
thanks in anticiaption.............

1. No, you don't need a photo - most passes don't have one and those that do are taken by a webcam at the skipass office.
2. There is only one ski school in Arinsal. I would definitely recommend it (but then I work there). Private lessons cost 38.50 euros per hour in high season, which it will be next week, for one or two people. The price goes up for more people - the full pricelist is in the 'During Your Stay' section of this website. The price is per instructor, not per person by the way. I would book lessons as early as you can, as next week will be busy. The ski school phone number is 00376 737838029, and they speak good English. There are several snowboard instructors who speak very good English, including one Australian.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for your help Ian - I'll ring tomorrow to book up.
I just have one last question - how easy is it to get to Arcalis.

If you have a car it is very easy. I suspect that you will not have one, so you must use the Ski Bus. Todsy I asked information for a time table. They do not have one YET. Last year it required a change of bus at La Massana. When I see a time table I will post more info. Ian may have more news for you but that is the situation as I understand it.
