Is there much snow left?... as on some of the weather sites it says it is reaching 13 degrees everyday latly and more high tempertures to come!
O and Number one doe you expect much snow late Feb eary March??

There is plenty of snow left, we have had some decent snowfalls lately and the snow machines have been topping it up.

Due to the physics of heat transfer (snow being both a good reflector and a good insulator) we actually lose surprisingly little snow to warm sunny days. Warm cloudy days are worse, and warm windy days are the worst (apart from rain which obviously washes the snow away). The base we have will last for some time - last year we had a lot less at this time of year and there was still good skiing when we closed on April 14th. A few warm days in January is nothing to worry about in terms of snow for later in the winter.

I am sure Number One will add his own thoughts to this, but that's my 2c.

Just a word about things that snow doesn't like: Fog is actually the worst thing there is for snow! The sun reflects off the snow as you say , water runs off (more or less) but fog... gets right inside the snow and literally melts the snow cap from the inside out. By the way, it hasn't been foggy i Arinsal lately.
