Getting married in andorra 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi myself and my girlfriend were thinking of getting married in arinsal at xmas when we are there on our holidays but afer scouring the internet I cant find any information regarding rules and regulationd etc. Someone told me that you cannot get married in Andorra unless you are a resident? Is this true as if it is then we can kiss this idea goodbye? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have been unable to find out if you will be able to get married in Andorra. I think that the best person to advise you on this matter is the British Pro Consul in Andorra, Alison Vaughan. She can be contacted by phone at 00 376 862080 between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm local.(8 am 12 noon BST)
I think that it is a great idea if it works. I wish you good luck and a great holiday if it does not.

Thank you for your reply but t'was in vain as it turns out as you must be a permanent resident of Andorra to get married there. Bloody red tape! Still at least I'll be boarding in 108 days!!

Well, yes Andorra does have its red-tape. Having said that, it has much less than the UK and our winter lives here rarely notice rules and regulations.

I'm sorry that your wedding plans have foundered this time, but we look forward to seeing you in Arinsal at Christmas where there will be no shortage of celebrations I'm sure

Ian & I (your hosts on the website) don't actually know where our main drinking den will be this coming season, we were both regulars at the Red-X which closed for good in the Spring, but if you do notice either of us propping up a bar somewhere please say hello..

Best Wishes

Kev.

Hi Pablo... great to hear from you, and great news that you'll be back too! So I'm sure we'll be visiting Ciscos regularly this season.

Generally, things are okay, just treading water now till I get on the boat to Bilbao in late November.

See you soon..
