ARINSAL is where the main hotels are situated. There is easy access to the slopes by the telecabina, which is in the centre of the village. The run from the top of the port negre to the Crest Hotel is the longest in Andorra, IF the bottom sedtion is open. I skied down it on Thursday but it had closed this weekend due to some warm and sunny wweather. Apart from the run to the Crest hotel, ALL the runs end at the same central place. This is great for families and large groups of friends as you will always find them.
PAL is prettier and has a large number of runs through the trees as it is a little lower than Arinsal. It is about 20 minutes car ride away from Arinsal but if you live in La Masanna there is a cable car from there. The night life is quieter than Arinsal's
ARCALIS has a good variety of runs and has a real mountain feel to it. However it is about 40 minutes away by car. Some claim to do the journey quicker, but often it can take longer. There are NO hotels at Arcalis. Which is a pity as it has very good skiing.
