Sorry Andi for alarming you. Yes, as Ian says it is for October 2008. I am hoping that if there is enough opposition to it, they may abandon the idea. I hope that you have told Angel that you are returning! Have a great time in Chile. You lucky lad.

Thank you Jan for the update. I have written another email to Basi. I would encourage all members to express their veiw to Basi as the AGM is next Saturday.

Well spotted Number One. I missed that little nugget in my skim of the BASI News, but have now written my letter to our esteemed CEO. Do you think they realise that only employers can apply for CRB checks? Or do they mean a Subject Access request like the one for Andorra? Somehow I don't think they've thought this through.

Next year all BASI instructors must send them a Criminal Record Disclosure, before they will issue a licence. The brain child of a P.C. Tree Hugger! I have written to BASI asking them, what are they going to do with this information? The C.E. is speaking to the AGM on 29th September about this subject. You may like to pass on your views on this additional expense.
